We crashed the posh Hotel Sofitel for a little snorkeling. What a beautiful set up on the north east coast of Moorea. After driving into what must have been the employee parking lot, we timidly walked through the hotel and to the beach. I think we were half expecting to get thrown out at anytime. We managed to rent some fins and get some fish food, then we swam out and over to the bungalows. As soon as the bread came out so did the fish. At one point we got some stink eye from one of the guests who must have been paying a fortune to stay in the bungalows. Her nasty looks really made the whole free experience more satisfying. Apparently beaches in Moorea are by law, open to everyone. So whether your paying a fortune or not you can have the same experience. Truly beautiful.
